Cara Membuat Oncom

Oncom merupakan produk asli Indonesia yang terbuat dari hasil fermentasi. Berdasarkan jenis bahan baku yang digunakan, oncom dibedakan menjadi 2 jenis, yaitu oncom merah dan oncom hitam. Bla oncom merah biasanya dibuat dari ampas tahu, oncom hitam dibuat dari bungkil kacang tanah sehingga mempunyai tekstur yang lebih lunak.

Walaupun sering dipandang sebelah mata bila dibanding dengan tempe dan tahu, sebenarnya oncom memiliki nilai dan mutu gizi yang tidak kalah dengan tahu dan tempe. Oncom yang terbuat dari bungkil kacang tanah memiliki protein dan  lemak yang bagus untuk kita konsumsi.
 

 

ONCOM

Bahan:

• 1 kg Kacang tanah
• 100 gr Ragi oncom

Cara membuat oncom:

1. Bersihkan kacang tanah, kemudian giling kasar kacang tanah tersebut hingga berbentuk bungkil kacang tanah.
2. Press / tekan bungkil kacang tanah tersebut untuk menghilangkan kandungan minyak dalam kacang tanah.
3. cetak bungkil kacang tanah ini menjadi bentuk lempengan bulat
4. Rendam bungkil kacang tanah ini kedalam air matang selama kurang lebih 7 jam sampai berubah menjadi serbuk oncom
5. Simpan serbuk oncom di dalam keranjang bambu supaya airnya meresap ke bawah dan diamkan semalaman
6. Kukus serbuk oncom tersebut sampai lunak, kemudian cetak menjadi bentuk persegi panjang
7. Diamkan cetakan oncom tersebut selama 12 jam
8. Taburi oncom tersebut dengan ragi oncom dan alasi serta tutup potongan oncom tersebut dengan menggunakan karung rapat-rapat.
9. Tunggu sampai tumbuh jamur di permukaan oncom.
10. Setelah berjamur, potong-potong oncom sesuai selera dan letakkan diatas anyaman bambu sampai agak kering
11. Oncom siap dikonsumsi

Cara Membuat Tape

Tape singkong merupakan hasil fermentasi singkong dengan menggunakan ragi tape. Tape singkong bisa dimakan begitu saja tanpa campuran apapun atau bisa juga menjadi bahan campuran es, cake, jajan pasar, dll. Singkong yang telah diolah menjadi tape singkong mempunyai kandungan kalori yang sangat tinggi walaupun kandungan zat besinya berubah menjadi 0.

Kadang kita menemukan tape singkong yang masih agak keras, itu disebabkan oleh proses fermentasi yang kurang sempurna. Selain itu, pemilihan jenis bahan baku singkong juga sangat mempengaruhi hasil pembuatan tape singkong. Gunakan singkong jenis mentega supaya tape yang dihasilkan berwarna kuning cantik. Selain itu tape yang dihasilkan juga akan lebih manis.

Berikut ini akan dijelaskan proses cara membuat tape singkong : 

 

 

TAPE SINGKONG

Bahan:

• 1,5 kg singkong
• 1,5 butir ragi tape, haluskan
• Daun pisang untuk alas

Cara membuat:

1. Kupas singkong, kemudian cuci bersih dan potong sesuai selera
2. Kukus singkong sampai matang, kemudian sisihkan dan tunggu sampai dingin
3. Setelah dingin, tata singkong ke dalam wadah tertutup yang telah di alasi daun pisang
4. Taburi dengan ragi tape sampai rata
5. Tutup permukaan wadah dengan daun pisang lalu tutup rapat dengan tutup wadahnya
6. Simpan di tempat yang hangat dan diamkan selama 2-3 hari.
7. Tape siap dikonsumsi.
    

Sejarah Pempek (empek-empek)

Menurut sejarahnya, pempek telah ada di Palembang sejak masuknya perantau Cina ke Palembang, yaitu di sekitar abad ke-16, saat Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II berkuasa di kesultanan Palembang-Darussalam. Nama pempek atau empek-empek diyakini berasal dari sebutan "apek", yaitu sebutan untuk lelaki tua keturunan Cina.

Berdasar cerita rakyat, sekitar tahun 1617 seorang apek berusia 65 tahun yang tinggal di daerah Perakitan (tepian Sungai Musi) merasa prihatin menyaksikan tangkapan ikan yang berlimpah di Sungai Musi. Hasil tangkapan itu belum seluruhnya dimanfaatkan dengan baik, hanya sebatas digoreng dan dipindang. Si apek kemudian mencoba alternatif pengolahan lain. Ia mencampur daging ikan giling dengan tepung tapioka, sehingga dihasilkan makanan baru. Makanan baru tersebut dijajakan oleh para apek dengan bersepeda keliling kota. Oleh karena penjualnya dipanggil dengan sebutan "pek … apek", maka makanan tersebut akhirnya dikenal sebagai pempek atau empek-empek.

Pada awalnya pempek dibuat dari ikan belida. Namun, dengan semakin langka dan mahalnya harga ikan belida, ikan tersebut diganti dengan ikan gabus yang harganya lebih murah, tetapi dengan rasa yang tetap gurih.

Pada perkembangan selanjutnya, digunakan juga jenis ikan sungai lainnya, misalnya ikan putak, toman, dan bujuk. Dipakai juga jenis ikan laut seperti Tenggiri, Kakap Merah, parang-parang, ekor kuning, dan ikan sebelah.

Westlife

Westlife adalah sebuah grup musik dari Irlandia yang beranggotakan Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, dan Mark Feehily. Satu anggota lainnya, Bryan McFadden, keluar pada 9 Maret 2004 agar dapat meluangkan lebih banyak waktu untuk kehidupan keluarganya dengan mantan anggota Atomic Kitten, Kerry Katona, meski mereka kemudian berpisah dan dia mengganti ejaan nama depannya menjadi 'Brian'.

Band ini terbukti sukses di Irlandia dan Britania Raya, dengan keberhasilannya mencetak 13 single nomor satu antara tahun 1999 dan 2005, antara lain:

Westlife juga empat kali berturut-turut memenangkan penghargaan "Record of the Year" ITV dengan single mereka "Flying Without Wings", "My Love", "Mandy", dan "You Raise Me Up". Di Indonesia album perdana mereka berhasil mendapat penghargaan 20 kali platinum untuk penjualan lebih dari satu juta kopi. Westlife memegang rekor untuk album asing terlaris dalam sejarah musik Indonesia dan juga merupakan satu-satunya artis internasional yang mampu menjual sebuah album di atas satu juta unit di wilayah Indonesia.^[1][2]

Westlife tidak berhasil menembus industri permusikan di Amerika Serikat, walaupun single perdana mereka, "Swear it Again", pada waktu itu cukup populer di radio dan MTV AS. Pada acara MTV TRL, video klip "Swear it Again" pernah diminta beberapa kali, dan masuk pada chart "hot 100" di salah satu majalah di AS (Billboard Magazine) edisi musim panas di urutan ke-20.

Hingga kini mereka belum berhasil meraih kesuksesan serupa di AS. Album debut mereka gagal setelah dirilis pada 2000 dan itulah satu-satunya album mereka yang dirilis di sana. Hal tersebut tidak berarti tidak ada perkembangan fans Westlife di sana. Band ini juga sangat terkenal di Asia, Eropa, Australia, dan beberapa negara di Amerika selain AS.

Seperti boyband lainnya, album-album mereka ditujukan kepada para remaja perempuan, walaupun ada juga fan mereka yang pria (kurang lebih sebesar 20% fan dari Westlife adalah pria). Beberapa kali Westlife pernah tampil di beberapa tempat komunitas gay. Pada tanggal 19 Agustus 2005 salah satu anggota band mereka, Mark Feehily, menyatakan dirinya seorang gay kepada publik serta keberadaannya menjalin hubungan dengan seorang mantan anggota grup musik V bernama Kevin McDaid.
